Frequently asked questions

Which websites can I use?

Only hosts an administrator has approved and that appear on the supported sources page. An empty list means no file host has been approved yet. YouTube and social sites are recognized and stay off that list.

Why was my link rejected?

The host may be missing from the allowlist, the address may be private or malformed, or the file may be DRM-protected, private, or not a direct media file. The error names the reason. Protection is not bypassed.

Do you remove DRM or accept my password?

No. DRM-protected media is rejected. Passwords, cookies, and session tokens are not collected.

Where is the file stored?

On the original host. This website stores an encrypted address and a short-lived grant, not the video. A playlist is left as a playlist.

How long does the download link last?

The grant expires on a short timer, sooner if the provider or signature expires first. The original host may continue to recognize an address it already issued.

Is adult media available?

It is off by default. It stays off without operator approval, a region policy, and a pass from an age-assurance provider. It is not shown on the home page.
