About

Direct Media Desk is a link checker and download desk for media you own, that is in the public domain, or that the rights holder has allowed you to save.

The public site lists only sources that have an approved host and a parser that can return a real file or playlist. Direct files require an approved CDN host. Page, HLS, and DASH hosts are separate approvals. YouTube and social pages are recognized in code and stay disabled because they do not provide a permitted download. Passwords, cookies, and session tokens are not collected.

Adult sources are off unless the operator, the host, and an age-assurance provider all approve them. They are not previewed on the home page. A checkbox is not treated as proof of age or of consent.

This installation is meant to run on shared hosting. Heavy media work is not performed here.
